Henley

Another popular playday for OASIS members, the day at Henley River and Rowing Museum includes a hands on workshop theme of peter rabbit  and a chance to explore the museum. After a picnic lunch, you will then head out on to the Thames for a boat ride.

Please note that although the museum is wheelchair accessible, buggies and wheelchairs are not allowed on the boat.

Camping at SOAP

Suitable ages: All

An opportunity to camp out in a relaxed and secure environment. SOAP is closed to the public during our stay. We have full access to all the facilities at SOAP as well as:

  • Bouncy Castle
  • Roasting marshmallows
  • Movies (Don’t forget to bring your popcorn!)
  • Bubbles
  • Glow sticks
  • Pizza Dinner & Continental breakfast will be provided – you’re also welcome to bring your own food.

PLEASE NOTE: You will need to supply your own tents and camping equipment.

Shilton

Age range: All

OASIS are back to Shilton for their popular annual summer playday. Organised by an Oasis member, the day starts with arts and crafts activities in the village hall (with coffee and biscuits for the adults). We then head off to the village ford (big shallow pond) for a picnic lunch followed by a bit of wading and fish netting. It’s a packed family day out but also very relaxed. Children can take part in the elements that work for them or choose to sit parts out.

Beale Park

Suitable Ages: All Ages

Facilities – Beale Park has lots of open space, wildlife, playgrounds and has a large paddling/ swimming pool so don’t forget swimming kit. The pool is about thigh height on an adult, so children need to be supported in the water. Please note that if it is raining then the pool will be closed. We will not be travelling around the park as a group so feel free to explore during the morning and afternoon. If you would like more information about the park, visit www.bealepark.co.uk

Thomley Hall

Suitable ages: All

Thomley is a place for children with all abilities to come and have fun. It’s all safe and secure so children get more freedom. Thomley has a soft play area, a huge outdoor area, a teenage den, an art room, an imagination room and play rooms. They also have a sensory room and if it’s available on the day you may be able to pay extra to access. The sunken trampolines can be rented in 15 minute slots at reception. You can bring along your own packed lunch or use the new cafe.

Parents / carers are responsible for their children at all times.

OASIS AGM

We will be joined by Maxine Dewitt who will talk about the support available to parents around Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP’s) – either making a new request for a plan or transferring from a Statement to an EHCP.

Also, Karen Sharman will be on hand to give an introduction to WIKI’s.

Easter Craft Day and Cutteslowe Park

Suitable ages: All

What’s Easter without some arts and crafts, we have booked the Cutteslowe pavilion and have plenty of Easter fun activities for everyone to enjoy as well as having access to all the wonderful facilities that Cutteslowe has to offer.

Hill End

The Hill End Centre is a 65-acre site spread over a gentle south-facing hillside on the edge of Wytham Woods, Oxfordshire.

The peaceful, tranquil quality of the location is a world away from urban life. A visit to Hill End offers visitors the opportunity to be closer to nature, with the space and time to explore and appreciate the wonders of the natural environment.

We also have a small number of orienteering packs available should you wish to use them during the day.

Basketball with the Abingdon Eagles

Please do come along to our first ever basketball session kindly provided by the Abingdon Eagles. We are running a one hour session of fun, and would love to see you there. It will be some training with the opportunity to play a small game.

Swimming – Didcot Wave

Suitable ages: All ages

We have exclusive use of the pool including the water slide and wave machine for a one-hour time slot.

There is one main 25 metre swimming pool with a beach area that is for easy access use. The changing village is a unisex area and is easily accessible via a ramp. There is also single sex changing rooms. Showers are situated on poolside. The Pool is kept between 28-31 degrees Celsius.
