Please note that the deadline for bookings for the OASIS Summer Playdays is 6pm on Friday 26th June. Booking requests made after this deadline will not be successful.
Playdays are available to OASIS members only. If you are not currently a member then please visit our MEMBERSHIP page to join OASIS before applying for any Playdays places.

Oxford Illusion

West Midland Safari Park (Coach Tirp)

Join us for the perfect family day out… Journey on the four-mile Safari Drive and come face-to-face with the world’s most extraordinary and beautiful animals such as the gentle giraffe, impressive rhino, inquisitive African wild dog, incredible African elephants and magnificent lions and tigers. Have a wander around the Discovery Trail and explore our Reptile House, Twilight Cave, Creepy Crawlies, Aquarium, Lorikeet Landing, Sea Lion Theatre and Penguin Cove. Visit African Village to see the cheeky meerkats & the playful lemurs in Lemur Woods. There are daily animal encounters, Sea Lion Shows, lemur talks and hippo feeds all included in the admission price! Step back in time as you journey through Land of the Living Dinosaurs and Ice Age, showcasing prehistoric creatures that once roamed the earth! Oxford Bus Museum

The Oxford Bus Museum has its origins in the Oxford Bus Preservation Syndicate, which was set up in 1967 by a group of bus enthusiasts. They had the foresight to see that buses and coaches of significance to previous generations should be saved and preserved for future generations to enjoy before they were lost for all time. Beginning with just one vehicle (pictured underneath) – which can still be seen and ridden on today, the number of preserved and restored vehicles has grown, and the museum now contains around 40 vintages buses and coaches, including a number of unique vehicles, the earliest dating from 1913.
Boat Trip

Experience Oxford like never before with a scenic cruise along the Thames aboard our exclusive boat, operated by Britain’s longest-established Thames boating company. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the stunning views of Oxford as we sail along the river. Our fully licensed onboard bar and well-stocked fridge offer a premium selection of wines, beers, ciders, prosecco, and soft drinks for you to enjoy throughout the journey.
Swimming
Date: Sunday 23rd August
Time: 17:30-18:30
Venue: Didcot Wave & Gym, Newlands Avenue, Didcot, OX11 8NX
Cost: £5.00 per child
Suitable Age: All Ages
We have exclusive use of the pool including the water slide and wave machine for a one-hour time slot.
There is one main 25 metre swimming pool with a beach area that is for easy access use. The changing village is a unisex area and is easily accessible via a ramp. There is also single sex changing rooms. Showers are situated on poolside. The Pool is kept between 28-31 degrees Celsius.
Camping
Date: Sunday 30th August 17.30 – Monday 31st August 11.00 am
Venue: South Oxford Adventure Playground Whitehouse Rd OX1 4PA
Cost: £10.00 per person
Suitable Age: All Ages
An opportunity to camp out in a relaxed and secure environment. SOAP is closed to the public during our stay. We have full access to all the facilities at SOAP as well as:
- Bouncy Castle
- Roasting marshmallows
- Movies (Don’t forget to bring your popcorn!)
- Bubbles
- Glow sticks
- Indoor arts and crafts.
- Pizza Dinner & Continental breakfast will be provided – you’re also welcome to bring your own food.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to supply your own tents and camping equipment.
